Hi, I'm Elly!
I am a Ph.D. student developing new technologies for musical and theatrical performance. I started Adventures in Refashioning to document my explorations with my personal style. As a woman in a male-heavy technological field, I've chosen to avoid the jeans-and-a-t-shirt uniform...instead, I want to celebrate and have fun developing my individual sartorial style, within the confines of a grad student budget.
I also write about feminism, craft projects, sewing, thrifting, and refashioning clothing and accessories.
